Teen/Young Adult Counseling
Adolescence is marked by an incredible period of growth and change. Sometimes change can feel confusing and overwhelming. Teens are becoming more independent and self-sufficient, which can be terrifying to caregivers who have worked so hard to keep their children safe and protected. Helping teens and their caregivers navigate adolescence takes skill and expertise in the creative process of change.
Elizabeth Brown Counseling can help adolescents process their feelings of anger, hurt, anxiety, confusion, fear, pain, and rejection, so they can be free to make healthy life choices and create a positive future. Adolescents will gain knowledge about why they do what they do and become empowered with healthy decision making skills. Caregiver involvement in therapy is often helpful and can be discussed between caregivers, client, and therapist.
Creative interventions such as art, music, and cinema therapy are available to help teens feel more comfortable sharing their stories, learning new ideas, and solving problems.
Elizabeth Brown Counseling can help:
